To Create Low-Carbon Sustainable Demostration Communities and Participate the Certifying and Classif

This project contains main parts, including “Collect and Organize Carbon Reduction Evaluation of the Low-Carbon Sustainable Community”、”Help the Low-Carbon Sustainable Community to Participating Certifying and Classifying”、“Promote the Low-Carbon Sustainable Community into ESPC and Solvation Property Management”、” Provide Counseling Service” and “Hold Educational Training Programs”, as follows: This project collected and organized related resources about community. And evaluated these 91 communities’ carbon reduction , that was up to 6541.08 tons for per years, including 324.48 tons per year of EPA help to construct. Communities’ low-carbon measure improvements is 48.7%.To calculate communities’ implemented low-carbon measures, “green ecological community”、”indoor high efficiency lighting ”and “cleaning activity”are the top 3. The project visits communities over 200 times to communication and understanding what they need and what they want. It has help 91 communities to participating certify and classify. The result is 19 nomination、39 bronze candidates、25 bronze、7silver candidates and 1silver. For a reference of common action projects, the project aggregated and made 10 specific practices, provide other communities learning and imitation. This project has given advices about solvation property management、communities and ESPC regulations. There were 4 communities fixture lighting equipment、3 communities setting solar photovoltaic energy equipment、2 schools fixture lighting equipment and give some subsidy for 17 community centers to fixture lighting equipment and it improve 106,091 kg/CO2e each year. According to promote the experience, the budget more than 1 million dollars, the industry enters a higher willingness and the payback period of approximately 3.8 years without government allowance. Communities act in concert with government allowance can be set at 50%, maybe recovery period is reduced to two years; general community smaller economies of scale, investment funds of approximately between 10 to 30 million, average payback period of 2.5 years without allowance, the government can be set at 20 to 30% of the total construction cost, this projection simulated 20%, 25% and in 30% of the situation to find community payback period of about 1.7 to 2 years. This Project has provided counseling service about related resources、promotion DM、red network. Including maintain a Facebook fan page and advanced fans from 450 to 1200. People not only could follow this project conduct all kind of event news and photos on FB, but also can communicate with each other on FB. This Project also analyzed the domestic current estate management companies and their conditions and provided solutions for integration on estate management companies and Low-Carbon Communities. This project held 2 property management training courses、4 Low-Carbon Sustainable communities training classes and 10 observation tours.
